AYS recruits qualified professionals and paraprofessionals for PRN independent-contractor opportunities supporting Autism Respite Care Services delivered under contract with Georgia DHS and DFCS.

Meaningful in-home respite work.
Providers help children and young adults remain safe, supervised, and meaningfully engaged while caregivers receive temporary relief.
Assignments are offered on a PRN independent-contractor basis. Approval, hours, assignments, locations, and start dates are not guaranteed.
What to expect
A careful screening and onboarding process.
Verify qualifications
Submit required education, training, CPR/First Aid, health, experience, and screening documentation.
Complete onboarding
Interview, complete required background processes and orientation, and wait for written activation.
Qualification pathways
Behavior Aide: approved Autism Friendly Training or another approved autism-related training.
Behavior Support Specialist I: 40-hour RBT training or a related associate degree.
Behavior Support Specialist II: active RBT credential or a related bachelor’s degree.
Final classification, qualifications, and compensation are subject to AYS documentation review and written approval. Completing RBT training does not by itself create an active RBT credential.Take the next step
